1.
So closed down You're weak, soon you'll drown You think a razor makes you feel alive Deep enough allows you to survive Time slows down - The world still spins around They'll give you a reason to come but you'll never love anyone Take a razor cut your worldly ties Deep enough, no need to say goodbye Goodbye Cold, cold in the ground No second chance to turn it 'round You think a razor makes you feel alive Deep enough to touch the hurt inside
2.
So, so we see what we're made of and Don't, don't be afraid, this is how I Know, I know we've got what it takes to Throw, throw away all our mistakes and Lead me home Stop, stop what you're doing, it's quite a Show, show me you mean what you say and Go. go and make the attempt I Know, know we can make it there, just please Lead me home Somebody take me out of here I couldn't stay here full of fear So why don't you take me back or Leave me on my own Time, time is our side I think you Know, I know there's a reason you can't let Go. go and try to be free I Know, I know we'll be fine if you'd just please Lead Me Home
3.
Don't lie, you don't know why you're here and you don't see things so clear. I can tell that you don't, you don't know who you are You never could see that far. I know Now you're gone and bound to live alone and your sun has passed but you can't go home Goodbye, but you're never really here and you have so much to fear. I know that you don't, you don't know who you are You never could see that far, I can tell Now you're gone and bound to live alone and your sun has passed but you can't go home Sometimes the truth is so bitter clear and so very hard to hear. You can never go home
4.
You've given them everything, but they'll always want something new You know it's true They've taken your reason, left you with nothing, they always do But you'll shine through Wait, don't be down, just have some faith don't be down Wait, don't be down, just have some faith don't be down Don't ever believe them, they'll smile and then tell you “you are through” It's never true Hey, you can deceive them, they're looking for people who know the rules. A ship of fools Wait, don't be down, just have some faith don't be down Wait, don't be down, just have some faith don't be down Guilty people don't believe in fate Don't be afraid to come outside Just breathe the air and feel alive Don't be so, don't you be so down Wait, don't be down, just have some faith don't be down Wait, don't be down, just have some faith don't be down The world keeps on turning, your heart keeps yearning for something new. You’re never through
5.
I don't mind if the world goes silently to sleep tonight and I don't care 'cause I will be perfectly at peace tonight So come on and take my picture before I sink too deep as I lay here in this coma, waiting for my prince to take me out but he will never wake me I don't mind this sweet trip sitting in my veins tonight and I don't care, I will flow into the river with the rain tonight So remove me from this picture, before I sink too deep as I lay here in this coma waiting for my prince to take me out but he will never wake me I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid of burning out. Take me out but he will never wake me.
6.
I can't leave here, but I can't stay I can't face one more day I can't take who I am Can't help thinking you'd understand I feel shattered, I feel torn. I rue the day I was born and the fool that I am, I keep thinking you'll understand Oh poor, poor, poor me, and you'll be sorry you'll see It's so hard to believe I can't make you love me
7.
A stranger to his work Assistant to the strange Selling your advice to people you can't save His mind is open His crime is chosen Behold your mercy seat Now you'll think before you weep Do you care? Running in reverse, you'll pray your soul to keep His mind is open His crime is chosen How can you have no shame? You have no shame, man it makes me wonder How can you have no shame? You have no shame, man it makes me wonder
8.
We could never need any more and I I could never see this before, I know When you walk into that room, you'll look around and see, the faces are cold and you know it's coming soon, there is no place to be, I know You never know, what will you say? We lie, and never show who we are and we have been this way for far too long When you walk into that room, you'll look around and see, the faces are cold and you know it's coming soon, there is no place to be, I know You never know, what will you say? I can't recall where this all started and I'll never be the same I can't believe the things I've seen, the things I'll never see again
9.
You see in my mind you can't hold me down, and if it seems right, we might leave this town Climb high but don't look down Please don't make one more sound Some would say there's a light and it guides the blind It's been a long time and you don't know me now, and in the meantime we might see you around Climb high but don't look down Please don't make one more sound Some would say there's a light and it guides the blind You see in my mind you can't hold me down, and in the meantime, we might see you bound Climb high but don't look down Please don't make one more sound Some would say there's a light and it guides the blind
10.
This holy lie, no sign of life, a million days to try This open box, these dusty eyes, a million ways to cry Listen, stop, you know it's your last chance Your memories all mean nothing to you And when you come back, you'll crawl and you can't save us all This leaning house, this single light tear it down, fade to white This hollow place, lost in your mind, nothing to give, nothing to find Listen, stop , you know it's your last chance Your memories all mean nothing to you and when you come back, you'll crawl and you can't save us all
11.
How - In the tunnel of the warm-light walk, comes a ghost-struck man and ooh - I didn't have a cure in sight for this mortal plan Just hold what you find - Let me see what you want me to see Remember this life ‘till you come back to contact with me How - The battle of the angels strikes in the dead of day and ooh - Tears falling from the dusty sky - they come out and play Just hold what you find - Let me see what you want me to see Remember this life ‘till you come back to contact with me I'm waiting for you I'm waiting for you - I sense, I sense what you do Becoming something new
12.
Why don't you leave me? I'm only there inside your head You never see me Just like your walking with the dead Let all the air out of the room so we can end our days of blue Swallow our memory so it won't ever go to waste Riddled with envy Don't let us all just fall from grace Let all the air out of the room so we can end our days of blue Chasing our shadow so we won't ever be alone Where did our lives go? When will we find our happy home? Let all the air out of the room so we can end our days of blue Some day it will be our time to go sane Following fading faces Nothing is ever mine End the conversation We go, we go, we go, we go, we go
13.
Crushed - She moves along again Wearing my heart again and sharing her smile with anyone but me I'm drowning in air today but I've one last thing to say You are perfect in every way And it's hard to see where I'm going I break down in the dark, no more hope And it seems there's no way of knowing what I'll be in the end, in the end I'm broken and I'm never sure of what I have or need anymore I'm fallen, I'm fallen and I need something to believe in again Crushed - I'll never feel the same I'll never be home again - She's taken away everything I need To feel something good again To never have to pretend you were perfect in any way And it's hard to see where I'm going I break down in the dark, no more hope And it seems there's no way of knowing what I'll be in the end, in the end I'm broken and I'm never sure of what I have or need anymore I'm fallen, I'm fallen and I need something to believe in again

Now this is a concept LP. An album made up of three HeadShy EPs, The Head, Heart, and Base Chords, they combine across velvet stained lounges in a darkwave americana for the soul, while gothic jazz floats across waves of minimalistic trip-hopped grooves before falling into oceans of melancholic depth. Touches of Portishead sadness filter through 4AD-ish haunting neo-psychedelic pop, like what might happen if R.E.M. joined with The Devics to cover songs by Nick Cave and Nina Simone. Lisa Lipkin’s vocals feel timeless in their beauty, like you’re lying on a bed of sorrow with murder ballad pillows, waiting for love to give you that sly little wink before it vanishes into the moonlight." - THE BIG TAKEOVER (Spring issue #74 on stands now)
